Step-By-Step Guide For Time Management Hacks || To Maximize Your Productivity!
Not enough hours in your day to get it all done? Well, I’m going to help you with that by giving you some of my time management hacks. Honestly, I'm super excited about because it’s a huge request from my readers.
People are busy with jobs, kids, life, and then they layer trying to build a business on top of that as well. So if you ever feel like you never have enough time to get everything done then you are going to love this video.
Today I’m going to walk you through my time management hacks to maximize your productivity.

In this post, I’m going to give you a super practical step-by-step tutorial of exactly what to do to maximize your day and get as much done as possible. Please read to the end because I'm going to give you a bonus tip and some freebies. These will help you implement this strategy into your life.

Step #1 -
Alright, step number one. Simply write down EVERYTHING that you need to get done each day. This will be different for everyone. And this isn’t just business stuff, but everything, okay? If you do the Miracle Morning steps, then write them all down. If you want to exercise, pray, read a story to your kids every day, whatever it is, write it down.
If you’re building your business on Facebook, what daily activities should you be doing every day? Write them down.
What about Instagram? List out all of those daily action items that you should be doing for your business on Instagram.
Are you building an email list?You should be! How about writing them everyday?
Take time to write everything down and make it complete. That's the first step.
Now, step two. Once you’ve completed writing everything down, the next thing to this time management hack is to figure out your particular schedule. I like to use a 30-minute block schedule of the day, but I’ve had friends that prefer 15-minute block schedules. And, other friends who use one-hour block schedules. So use whatever block schedule that makes the most sense for you and your purposes.
Using a pencil, because you are definitely going to be adjusting and erasing as you figure this out. I start with blocking out the things that I MUST do at specific times, like getting the kids up, feeding them breakfast, dropping them off at school. Maybe it's your specific work hours that you have if you have a job, and so on.
Now once you have the have-to-do’s written down on this schedule then you start writing in all of the other tasks that you want to accomplish in your day.
So, for example, from 6:00 am to 6:30 am maybe you have yoga and you do yoga in your house. Then from 6:30 to 7:00 am maybe you do prayer or meditation. Whatever you are trying to get done, put it on the schedule.
Now you’ve got a schedule that tells you exactly what to do throughout your day. That way you don’t have to waste time trying to figure out what to do next and you don’t need to redo this all the time.
This is like something that you do, you get done, and you’re gonna use it for quite a while until you feel something changes in your life and then you need to adjust. Okay?
Just simply keep this at your work desk or where it’s visible so you can reference it throughout your day as needed.
Once you have your schedule flushed out throughout your day, then finally we hit
Step number three. Using the list of things that you want to do each day create a checklist for yourself. This allows you something that you can actually check off your completed tasks throughout your day.
You know that everyday will obviously not go as planned, in fact, most days won’t. But having this checklist will help you to adjust or help with starting your day and still make sure you get everything done.
Since I will be documenting on this daily I like to try save paper where I can. So I set this up in a document that actually has five days listed out on it. This way I can print just one out for the basic work week on one piece of paper.
Now, personally, I’ve actually created a couple of files using Microsoft Excel for this very thing.
Both a 30-minute block daily schedule and the daily checklist. And, as a special gift to you, I’m gonna make these available to you. And, as promised, your bonus tip. I have titled this the $350,000 List. This is one of the most important of the time management hacks!
This was initially called the $35,000 List in Mary Kay’s book titled Mary Kay. It comes from a man named Ivy Lee, a leading efficiency expert.
And here’s why……as Mary Kay tells the story, Ivy went to Charles Scwab, president of the then-small company called Bethlehem Steel. Lee offered to increase his company’s efficiency – and sales – if he would allow Lee to spend 15 minutes with each of Schwab’s executives.
Schwab wondered what it would cost him and Lee told him, “nothing……unless it works. Then you can send me a check in 3 months for whatever you think it’s worth to you.” And Schwab agreed.
So Lee spent 15 minutes with each of the executives from the struggling young steel company. He asked them to complete a single task. Every evening for the next 3 months, each executive was to make a list of the 6, that’s 6, MOST IMPORTANT things he had to do the next day. Finally, the executive was to rank the items in their order of importance.
The instructions were that each morning you begin with the first item on the list and scratch it off when it’s finished. Just work your way right down those 6 items.
If you don’t get something finished, it goes on the next day’s list. At the end of the three-month trial, efficiency and sales had increased to such an extent that Schwab sent Lee a check for $35,000. Thus, the $35,000 List title.
Now that’s a lot of cash for such a small amount of work. And even more so, if you consider, that would equal $350,000 today for only 15 minutes with each of the 6 executives of this small, small company. So for only an hour and a half of work.
So this is the way this bonus works into your schedule. Put the things that are set, like appointments, school, etc., as mentioned before. Then when adding your business things that you need to get done for growing your business, choose the top 6 things you need to get done and list them in order of importance.
Do this every day. It massively impacts your efficiency. Keeps you laser focused on your tasks. And, this will build your business and increase your sales.
